History 

Habbo Club was first introduced on 17th December 2002, and was a huge success. Members who had a Habbo Club membership got immensely popular almost instantly upon purchasing membership. One of the reasons for this sudden popularity, was the Club Sofa furni. Still considered a rare today, the Club Sofa was available exclusively, and for free, for Habbo Club members. It was later removed as a gift, causing the price of the sofa to sky rocket. However, these days, it is not uncommon to have a HC membership compared to the past. 

In mid-2010, Habbo introduced a second membership service known as VIP - an upgrade from the existing Habbo Club subscription. VIP membership gives users access to rarer furniture items. Due to a decline in popularity, it was later removed from the game in November 2011.

Habbo Club can be purchased with Habbo credits via the catalogue, or via cash payment on mobile devices. From time-to-time, Habbo may release promotional offers bundled with other furniture items.
