La La Land

This critically acclaimed romantic musical film features Ryan Gosling and Emma Stone as the main two stars. You probably either jumped on the hype-wagon or didn't understand the hype. Having initially dismissing the film as 'boring' based on its trailer, I too didn't understand what the hype was. However I strapped down to the chair and finally got around to watching the movie and I was certainately not disappointed at all. Paired with a catchy tune and great cinematography, the opening scene to La La Land will definitely grab your attention. If the opening scene didn't do it for you, fret not as there many other great songs throughout the movie, making each scene even more memorable - think of it as a mature version of High School Musical, except with greater story line and amazing scenaries. The movie tells the tale of two lovers and their different dreams - Mia the aspiring actress and Sebastian's jazz club. Not only do they share a passionate bond with each other, they are also passionate in working hard towards achieving their dreams. Both characters work towards their dream in different ways however they both know to not give up and therefore support each other along the way. Will they truly achieve their dreams in the end? If so, at what cost?

Paramore - Hard Times

Paramore is back after 4 years! Their latest single 'Hard Times' is from their new album 'After Laughter' which you can watch the music video here. Many fans are surprised with the release of Hard Times as it is not something they usually release. Hard Times is fun and upbeat, very reminiscent of 80s pop rock. Hayley Williams was everyone's girl crush and with the latest music video, its clear she is still that confident and edgy female we all love.
