I don't find it hard but sometimes I forget to say it because I feel like you can't just be like, "Thank you," out of nowhere so I wait until the right time and it doesn't come sometimes, and then I feel bad :-(

No i don't find it difficult, but sometimes I forget. :/ Otherwise I definitely will.
However, I find it especially frustrating when someone asks for a 'thank you'.
In this case, I honestly don't feel as thankful (although I should be!! >.<)
It contradicts the idea that a genuine act of kindness is given without expectations.
What if someone gently reminds you to say "thank you" to them or to someone else?
That's pretty much how kids are taught to say thank you. It's quite effective.. or would you still not say "thank you"? If you don't, it just seems outright rude imo.

I always say thank you! I probably say it too much, especially when it's not needed? I work in retail and I definitely overuse thank you when people are being rude!
