In America, annually on June 30th, mint julep is appreciated and observed.

People gather to have the drink that was made tradition at the Kentucky Derby.

What is mint julep?

• It is made with a mint leaf, water, sugar and bourbon

The bourbon cocktail is prepared differently at different bars so people go around and taste the variations.

Here are fun facts about Julep!

• Julep was also made with Gin before the 20th century
• “Julep” means a sweet drink
• The origination started in the south of the United States, during the 18th century
