This week I had the pleasure to sit down and have a chat with the new Master Builder for BAW 2.O Alexthedoc, or Alex for short! Once we began chatting, it is really easy to tell that he is quite the funny and outgoing kind of person. He is definitely passionate about building and I look forward to the rooms he builds as the new member of this position! Anyhow, read below for the interview!

Q1 : How long have you been playing Habbo?
"Um, since 2012 I think. 12th of September to be exact!"

Q2 : What got you in to building on Habbo?
"I've always loved the user-made game side of Habbo. I got in to building that way by creating and making my own games as well was hosting for various fansites in the past. I don't really like to just build a 'room', I like there to be something more to it!"

Q3 : What is your favourite Habbo game?
"User-made game would have to be something like snake or attack. I used to love both snowstorm and fast food as well though, and I wish they would bring them back."

Q4 : Could you talk about your most memorable building experience on the hotel?
"My most memorable building experience is probably building and owning my own auto runs. They require huge amounts of effort, commitment and time to make successful. I enjoyed creating them as I could create fun games around a theme and it seemed to be enjoyable for multitudes of users."

Q5 : As the first BAW member from both series, can you tell us the difference (if any)?
"Well the biggest difference is that there is no longer a team of users working together, which to be honest I really enjoyed and it made building faster, easier and more fun. So for me, the biggest difference is the independence as you're given a lot of freedom to create events that interest you. Other than that, there isn't much difference apart from this time around I'm leading myself instead of being leaded! And of course, it's still centred around building."

Q6 : What do you do when you're not on Habbo?
"When I'm not playing Habbo, you'll probably find me either on Twitter or SnapChat for a good percentage of the time. If not, I'm an avid listener of music and will always carry my headphones around with me. I'm also interested in photography and art so I often go out with my friends on mini adventures to snap some shots and it's quite fun!"

Q7 : What is your favourite old-school public room?
"As I was never actually around to see most of the old school rooms, I can only judge based on pictures. I quite like the Sunset Cafe, it's got a nice vibe and it's very orange, a colour I like." (see image provided below)

Q8 : Do you have any inspiration for your rooms?
"I wouldn't say I have a sole inspiration as I'm often inspired by other room builders who share their creations. But I've learnt a lot from close friends, who in my earlier years helped me in to wiring and stacking, etc. However, when I build, I just build. I just do whatever comes to mind and hope it suits both the theme and the game, which it does!"

Q9 : Do you like memes?
"I should send you a screenshot of my camera roll because half of it is memes. My favourite kind of memes are the wig-snatching ones."

Q10 : Do you have a favourite video game?
"Does Habbo Hotel count?"

Q11 : What is your favourite furni line?
"Flower Power. I build with those flowers all the time. My favourites are the lupines and the pink pandemics!"

Q12 : On a scale of 1-10 how much do you enjoy Habbo drama and why?
"I live for drama, because I'm shady... I'm also really nice though! Drama is amazing until it gets personal. So I'm probably an 11."

And there you have it! Hope you all enjoyed the interview and if you have not yet, please check out my previous interview with UnderCover..
