We're just a little over the halfway mark into the year 2016.

For the first half of the year, many albums had been released from popular artists and you have most likely heard these overplayed songs.

But what about the other tracks in the album? If you're sick of the main tracks why not give the side tracks a listen!

Here are some popular albums with their less popular tracks we'd like to recommend:

Rihanna - Love on the Brain (ANTI)

Unless you're a big fan of RiRi or Grey's Anatomy, you might not know about this song. It's safe to say Rihanna has developed a 'bad gal' image for herself through the works of her songs 'Work' and 'Better Have My Money' but this side track from her newest album Anti says othwise. Love on the Brain is an emotional ballad which showcases her vocal range and some may even say it is a little hint to her past relationship with Chris Brown though it is not confirmed. Love on the Brain was performed live on 2016 Billboard Music Awards and received many positive responses due to Rihanna's raw emotions and power vocals on stage. Check out the full performance here.

Ariana Grande - Greedy (Dangerous Woman)

Greedy is a nice refresher in Grande's Dangerous Woman album as it has nice swing-vibes to it - this is particularly noticeable if you watch her live performance here. It's no surprise that Ariana can easily pull off high notes but the vocal key changes paired with the flirty lyrics makes this song catchy and addictive. If this song doesn't make you want to scream Greedy by the end of it then I don't know what will!

Sia - One Million Bullets (This Is Acting)

In Sia's This Is Acting album, all her tracks were written in hopes to be taken by other artists such as Rihanna, Katy Perry, Beyonce and many more. It's simply baffling how some artists passed tracks such as 'The Greatest', 'Alive' and 'Cheap Thrills' as they all proved to be great hits on the charts worldwide. Despite all this, One Million Bullets is the only song in the album that was not released to any other artist than to Sia herself. Her reluctance to release this song was mainly because she simply loved it too much to let it go to somebody else. Others theorised it was a song written about her love for husband Erik Anders which could explain why she didn't want to release it to anyone else though this theory has not been confirmed.

Charlie Puth - Losing My Mind (Nine Track Mind)

Most, if not all the songs in Nine Track Mind are very love-stricken orientated and Losing My Mind is no execption. As the title suggests, the song is about losing your sanity over love. Losing My Mind is one of the lesser upbeat songs in the album so if you're into mellow songs, this one may just be for you. With the occassional falsetto throughout the track, this song is pleasant on the ears and a must listen!

Birdy - Hear You Calling (Beautiful Lies)

Anyone remember listening to Birdy's Skinny Love? She was only 14 years old when she released that track! Fast forward to 2016, Birdy is 20 years old with a brand new album, Beautiful Lies. The album is filled with indie-pop tracks and really emphasises on her maturity as an artist as well as herself as an individual. Hear You Calling is more dance than indie song and adds more variety to the album. Though its not as emotionally powerful as her other tracks, Hear You Calling is a song you can listen and dance to.

Broods - Are You Home (Conscious)

If you're a lover of synth pop and moderate bass, then you'll love this song. Are You Home is a catchy song about broken relationships and the need to wonder what the other person is always doing. The song was apparently the most fun to write as described by Broods and features 80s inspired beats.
