Education Corner
A HabboBites user (who would like to remain anonymous) would like us all to learn the importance of contact lens safety and hygiene.
A colleague's cousin bought cheap contact lens as it was much more affordable than buying from an optician store. Soon after wearing the cheap contact lens, both eyes were affected and as a result, he became blind. He is still undergoing treatment although the chances of recovering his sight is very slim. Only buy contact lens from a reputable place and be sure to maintain good contact lense hygiene to avoid nasty infections!
The main takeaway in maintaining good hygiene is:
- always wash your hands before handling contact lens
- store lens accordingly to either optometrist's advice or the packing instructions
- if you notice any abnormalities in your contact lens, immediately discard, do not wear them
- always use fresh solution when cleaning and storing contact lens

Prosopagnosia (face blindness) - is a cognitive disorder where the person is unable to recognise familiar faces such as their own due to face perception impairment. Neurological events such as stroke and acquired brain injury can cause prosopagnosia though other causes start from early-childhood due to a genetic factor. Many people with prosopagnosia have trouble socialising or maintaining relationships due to the difficulty of not being able to remember faces. Many use cues such as clothing, voice and body to identify the person they are talking to.

Human Rights - if I were to ask you what were Human Rights, what would you respond with? Did you know, according to the United Nations, there are a total of 30 human rights listed in the formal document called "The Universal Declaration of Human Rights". Mankind have progressed in extraordinary ways, from having literally no rights to having some rights to only specific people and to eventually, human rights for all. However, to this day, there are still so many people who are deprived from these rights, being held as slaves in a country not their own, being involved in human trafficking, being unable to safely flee their war-torn country, etc. In light of the refugee crisis, how many rights have been violated? Have a read through the rights yourself and identify just how many rights in the declaration have been violated in regards to refugees and asylum seekers. Equal rights for all! But is it really?

WeeklyBites Story Time
Last week at the very end of the Weekly Bites #13, I asked "what do you want to see in Weekly Bites?" and everyone who answered have been awarded 10 bites points!
HabboBites user Autumn requested a short story segment on Weekly Bites so...

April Fools Recap
Remember our survey on whether or not HabboBites should change its name?
About 50 people voted 'No' for the name change.
We did say that 'No' won over 'Yes' by just three votes but actually, Funkyhabbo manipulated the results adding more votes to Yes than there really were.
Despite the majority voting for yes, Funkyhabbo decided to continue having a bit of fun, adding another survey on what should HabboBites be named, triggering many more - especially Jamie and Seth
Depending on what you wrote in the name change survey, HabboBites would have changed its name based on what you input in the survey on April Fools.
If you didn't write any name suggestion, BitesHabbo would have been the default name.
Other name changes included HabboGuidance, Habbosistas and HabboTea!
Mystic Duck also appeared on the page however nobody was able to catch it as it was just a fraud! Sorry to everyone who got their hopes up, including me!
