Silly Speeches

This week's silly speech was submitted by Princehooligan.

Do you know Sue Shi?

If you could not tell, this week you are tasking with showing us your love for the notable Japanese meal, Sushi! All you need to do is post a snapshot of any kind of sushi along with a review on to the feed with the tag #HBSushiDay in order to participate. For more information about the competition, check out the article here.

Education Corner

This week's Education Corner has been requested by Paddleboard is in order to raise awareness of marine environmental pollution as well as the ways we can protect the world's oceans and other bodies of water.

The habitat destruction of many marine environments are connected to various human-related practices and it is possible to alter our habits in order to prevent further loss. It is important to educate onself of the activities and practices which threaten marine life, such as pollution and habitat interferance, and are promoted by general human ignorance. A quick and easy way to promote and preserve marine life is by considering where and how any regular household product came to being and where it travels after disposal. Another way to do so is by educating oneself on common practices one should not do when near a body of water, for example, chucking rocks or releasing your pet fish in to the wild.

If all else fails, just remember that Finding Nemo was intended to raise awareness of the negative impact on raising fish as pets..

Poll

Last week we asked you "Have you ever tried to eat a rock?and here are the results:

Yes... - 3

No?! - 9

Are you ok? - 18

Uhm... - 3

Yum yum! - 4

None of the above - 0

This poll question was inspired by last week's Random Rock segment and it's evident that many of you were concerned. That's the appropriate response. A new poll question will be up shortly, be sure to answer and find out the results next week!

Funkyhabbo's Indian Adventures

Occasionally, our Indian wannabe, Funkyhabbo will bring us on his Indian adventures - showing us his favourite food, travel spots, and stories!

Today, Jason is sharing an Indian dish with us! The dish features a Thali (which means a food platter). It is usually served on a round platter and features a variety of curry and dishes. He recently went to a specialty Thali restaurant in India, and here's a Rajasthani Thali he had recently!

Thanks Funkyhabbo for naming and writing this entire segment...

That's all for our 75th edition of Weekly Bites - we will be back every Monday.
