Silence
I hear the wind howling
As the clock softly ticks
Counting each beat of the rhythm
For each rebound and sway of the wind.
People around me ruffling pages
Soft thumps as they walk past my seat
Breath in, breathe out, as they go on
About their tasks of the week.
My mind screaming out all these thoughts
As I pen my thoughts on this sheet
Each soft thud from the beat of my heart
Reverberates through this negative silence
I breathe.
