This week I had the pleasure to sit down and have a chat with the newly elected Habbo President of Fun UnderCover., also known as UC for short! Trust me on this one, she is an incredibly awesome person to get to know, and although she doesn't prefer sharing her name, she is an incredibly brilliant individual and worth engaging in a conversation with. I look forward to the ideas she will bring to Habbo, and maybe have a resonating impact on the website! If you have a reasonable idea, I strongly suggest talking to her to see if she can actually make it come to fruition. Anyhow, here is the interview!

Q1 : How long have you been playing Habbo?"I made my first account many years ago, but started playing back again in 2011. Let's just say 2011, because I'm pretty knowledgeable from that point onwards."

Q2 : Why did you run for Habbo President of Fun?
"Well I thought it wasn't gonna be a serious campaign afterwards, and I didn't think I'd actually make it past the first popular voting round. So I entered my speech just to see if I'd get in the top 16, which was staff-picked. And then when I heard from people in touch with the staff that the president could host events, from then on I took the competition a little more seriously, but still not at all that serious." [as per her request here is her speech below, if you missed the opportunity to read it]

Hello my fellow Habbos! You may or may not know me - I am UnderCover.. No, I’m not a secret agent nor a moderator (obviously…), but I am in the running for Habbo’s President of Fun! I have a great number of policies and rule changes planned for the incredibly long presidency for the WHOLE MONTH OF MAY!
Let me tell you a little bit about myself. I like music, animals (especially birds), and chaos. I dislike hackers, forklifts, and big government. I was born and raised in Habboville by my amazing uncle, and graduated with a doctorate degree in Political Incorrectness from Habbard University in 2005.
My plans for this presidency are to increase the amount of fun and schmooze for everyone during these difficult times, with the power of anarchy! I’m not going to be like the other candidates saying we need to “make Habbo great again” or to build ridiculous walls. We need to TEAR THOSE WALLS DOWN! I plan to connect every single hotel room by removing the walls and having the entirety of Habbo as a single room, so thousands of Habbos can interact with each other at the same time! I will also give everyone the ability to move and pick up furniture from these rooms and from others’ inventories! Monetary limitations will no longer stop fellow Habbos from being able to build their dream rooms. Scamming will become a thing of the past since you can just take your furniture back at any point. This is COMPLETELY FOOLPROOF.
For maximum fun, I will allow anyone who applies to host a badge event or game. Anyone can send in their badge designs and I will automatically approve them with our new auto-approval system. I cannot wait to see what images our mature community will provide!
Habbos will also never be banned again for triggering the Bobba filter, because there will no longer be a filter! I am going to give the voice back to the community once and for all. Everyone will be able to swear and talk about their pet snakes without bobba bobba bobba. I know I would be a good president because I will be able to hear what you, the people, are saying. Thank you for considering my nomination as Habbo President of Fun.

Q3 : Do you consider yourself experienced for this position?
"Yeah I would, I mean it's not just experience you should have, but also practicality. A lot of people want unrealistic things for Habbo that don't make sense business-wise, but I understand where they're coming from. But I'm definitely a seasoned player in my opinion, I entered a lot of different types of comps, visit different rooms, am a trader, etc. I am realistic with the fact that you can't make Habbo go back to the way you want it to be. It's about moving forward, not backwards (although Habbo does keep moving backwards recently)."

Q4 : What recent changes on Habbo upsets you the most recently?
"The toxicity of some of the community. There's a lot of passive aggressiveness and bitterness, when the people should be happy for one another instead. In addition to drama and fights that are not needed, but egged on due to the entertainment value. On Habbo's side, I'm really disappointed they removed furni and badge mottos, it takes away years of work done by many people and that history as well. It's like burning down a library."

Q5 : What is your favourite furni line?
"The Japanese/Zen Garden one. (Fun fact - I suggested this line on MrCroissant's forum which is now open for new suggestions)"

Q6 : What is your favourite Habbo game?
"Nowadays I like Heaven or Hell or Danger Tiles/Pods because I can easily AFK while playing them. I used to be a pro at Telephrase a few years ago though."

Q7 : What old-school Habbo feature do you miss the most?
"I quit when the best old school features came out. I only really remember the lido deck and wobble squabble. So I guess those because i always wanted to try them but never had the tickets you needed."

Q8 : What is your favourite movie?
"Logan"
Care to tell us why?
"I like superhero movies, but this one was really cool in the atmosphere and the plot. It was a really good way to end Hugh Jackman's career as Wolverine."

Q9 : As a notable badge designer for many fansite and site events, could you tell me your personal favourite(s)?
"I have a few favourites. Mine are the tiger used for the first BAW event this year, the heart from the hospital game, the kingfisher and the owl." [images provided to the right]

Q10 : Do you think you would make a good troll?
"I was born a troll. I love to see people troll when it's harmless."

Q11 : What do you find to be the most annoying feature on Habbo right now?
"The fact that you have to press a thousand times to sell an unsold furni in the marketplace. Then to take it back, then put it back in, incredibly annoying."

And there you have it! Hope you enjoyed the interview, and if you have not yet, please check out my previous interview with IAmReallyBored.
